Role summary

Lai and Associates is looking for a talented and experienced PowerApps/SharePoint developer to join our team in Pickering, ON.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing PowerApp solutions and SharePoint enterprise-level applications that are easy to maintain and extend.

Key responsibilities

  • Building and maintaining applications using the SharePoint Framework (SPFx) and PowerApps Development Framework
  • Provide architecture, configuration, administration, and functional support to expand capabilities in Microsoft 365
  • Develop complex web parts or components using SPFX while completing the rest of the development using PowerApps
  • Work with architects, project managers, and technical leads to ensure that applications are easy to maintain and easy to extend.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills to understand client pain points and troubleshoot as challenges arise
  • Use Agile methodologies to deliver high-quality software in a short time frame
  • Be able to work independently on projects from start to finish
  • Be able to work in a team environment with cross-functional teams across the organization
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Be able to communicate effectively with customers, partners, and vendors

Qualifications

    • 2+ years’ experience as a software developer in an enterprise environment using .NET Framework 4.6 and .NET Core (preferred) or similar technologies
    • Demonstrable experience using MS SQL Server or similar database systems
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform (Dataverse, Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint Lists, AI Builder) with hands-on experience in building and deploying data solutions using these tools (canvas apps, model-driven apps, automation runbooks, and Power Automate Flows)
    • 2+ years’ experience building custom interactive SharePoint applications and websites leveraging: SharePoint Framework, SharePoint REST API, SharePoint Designer, CSOM, JSOM, React, ES6 JS, and J Query
    • Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in Power Platform or Dynamics CRM
    • Experience in customizing SharePoint Lists and libraries and incorporating related apps to create functional workflows, Custom features such as templates, workflows, etc.
    • Knowledge of SPFX development, InfoPath knowledge, Intranets and portals development, Customized systems development such as document management, learning management, helpdesk, etc.
    • Experience with CSS, JavaScript, and a good understanding of UI/ UX concepts and design frameworks
    • Strong collaborative and team-oriented mindset, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
    • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 architecture, configuration, administration, and functional support
    • Demonstrable understanding of Web Services REST and JSON formats document schemas, HTTP protocol, and underlying internetworking concepts
    • Proficiency in using Sharegate for content migration
    • Ability to work remotely with minimal supervision and in a virtual team environment
    • Strong time management skills with the ability to work effectively, work under pressure while managing conflicting priorities and deadlines
